Stationery Help
Hello
:)
Viewing
stationery correctly .. special effects/table backgrounds for
example requires some
settings in Outlook Express to be reset . Don't worry its not
difficult :-)
If you have Outlook Express 6 ... under your main menu
Tools/Options/Security ... Internet Explorer Security Zone ...
should be set to "Internet
Zone" to view
stationery correctly . Next ..
Uncheck
the " Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that
could potentially be a virus . This sounds a bit scary but if this
is not done backgrounds in the stationery will not be viewable . A
good Anti Virus program such as
Norton Internet Security will integrate with Outlook Express and
scan incoming and outgoing email for viruses . I have it and have
had no problems . The best thing to do always is not to open any
emails from unknown senders .
For special effect stationery
please visit
Letterman stationery ..
Take a look at
his requirements page for proper stationery viewing
here .
A great step by
step E-Book is available for
XP service pk 2 and for
Internet Explorer 7
.. mouse over either XP or IE for links to pages .
Setting
Up Your Preview Tab in Outlook Express
If you have not done so ... set up your stationery
settings/view tabs .... go to your main menu in Outlook Express ... click
on Message.. then New Message Using ... Select Stationery or No
Stationery .. then once stationery is open go to its menu at the top
and click on View .... then click on Source Edit . There should now
be a check mark beside it . Down at the bottom of your stationery
window you will see an Edit/Source/Preview tabs ... Edit is where
you type in your text ... Source is the HTML code ... Preview is how
your stationery will look to the person who receives it and for you
to view your text, backgrounds and or the special effects :) .. In order to send
your email go back to edit tab and then click send .
Updates for Windows XP/Service pk 2
Prevent the use
of emls and the option to use your preview tab ..
There is a step
by step or an easy download to fix this problem .
Please try it if
you have done update and can no longer use emls .
